  • Do you guarantee your work?

    Yes! We provide a 30-day workmanship warranty on all our services. Should any issues arise with our repairs or installations within this period, please inform us, and we'll rectify the problem at no additional cost.
  • How do I request a quote?

    Requesting a quote is straightforward. You can use the contact form on our website, call us directly, or send an email to info@helpful-handyman.com. We typically respond to quote requests within one business day.
  • Do you offer free estimates?

    We provide free estimates for most standard handyman jobs that can be assessed via photos or a brief phone call. For more complex projects requiring on-site evaluation, we charge a fee of typically $100, which is then credited towards your final invoice if you proceed with the work.
  • How is pricing determined?

    Our pricing is calculated based on the scope and complexity of the work, required materials, and estimated time. We strive to offer competitive rates and adhere to our no-surprises pricing guarantee.
  • Do your estimates ever change after the work begins?

    We uphold a no-surprise pricing policy. The price we quote is the price you'll pay, unless there's a significant change in the project scope. In such cases, we'll pause work, explain the situation, and obtain your approval before continuing.
  • What areas do you serve?

    Our service area covers a 25-mile radius from North Liberty, IA. This includes Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and the surrounding communities.
  • Do you provide materials or should I supply them?

    If you prefer to supply the materials yourself, that's perfectly acceptable. Alternatively, if you'd like us to handle everything, we can source and deliver all necessary materials for your project.
  • Can I schedule recurring services?

    Yes, we offer monthly maintenance packages suitable for various budgets, ensuring your home remains in excellent condition year-round. You can also schedule maintenance and seasonal services well in advance, whether it's quarterly home check-ups or annual winter or spring preparations.
  • How soon can you start?

    We aim to schedule jobs as soon as possible. Our availability can vary based on the season and project size, so please contact us early to get on the schedule!
  • What payment methods do you accept?

    At Helpful Handyman, we accept credit/debit cards, checks, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH payments, and cash. Payment is due upon completion of the project, unless other arrangements are made with us beforehand.
  • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

    We understand that issues can arise, so please provide us with at least 24 hours' notice before a cancelation or rescheduling to avoid any fees.
  • What if I’m not satisfied with the work?
